Beauty Subscriptions..my first review...

What is a beauty subscription you ask? Its a program such as Birchbox, Beautyarmy,BeautyBox5, and GlossyBox, among many others. The way the it works is,you join ,pay a small monthly fee and get a package of samples or full size items (depending on the company) and BOY IS IT FUN! Its like Christmas in your mailbox every month. Personally I subscribe to BeautyArmy, BeautyBox5, GlossyBox, and I recently joined one called Ipsy. I haven't received anything from them yet-but I will report back as soon as I do. I recently cancelled Birchbox because it just wasn't what I was expecting, but I'll blog on that later.

I decided to do a review of my December BeautyBox5.
So when it comes in the mail, the outside packaging is kinda cute, but they put the mailing label on top, which kinda messes it up for me.

But then you open it up, and it is so much better!

I mean, look at that SWEET little drawstring bag! I've been getting this box for about 6 months now and they have always had the little bag.I have repurposed every single one of them too! LOVE THEM!

So heres anothere view:

There was also another little surprise tucked into the bottom of the box!

So with every box they include a little card with a full description of each item, prices for full size items and often including a discount code. This time they made it into a Christmas card!

I thought this was very sweet and a nice touch. Great double tasking!

Ok,down to business, lets look at the goods.

Jean Pierre Cosmetics Exfoliating Facials Cleansing Pads.
Exfoliate your aging anxieties away with these alcohol free,hypo-allergenic facial cleansing pads.(They're
great for removing make-up too!) Retail  $1.99 16 pads FULL SIZE
I was really excited when I saw these because I love anything I can take with me when I travel, or put next to my bed and wipe my face before I pass out at night. This gets an A!

Everyday Minerals Flat Top Brush
Great brushes = flawless finishes! Perfect for applying powder and liquid, the super-soft synthetic fibers in this brush are great for providing buildable yet seamless coverage. Retail $12.99

I was super excited about this too! I love makeup brushes and I am trying to build up my collection to some nicer ones. This brush is SUPER soft, the bristles are dense. It feels great on my skin.I also give this an  A!

MaskerAide Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask
Made to target a variety of beauty woes, these delicate fiber masks deliver targeted blends of vitamins and nutrients,Just open, unfold and apply. Retail: $4.99 1 Sheet. I think this might have been full size.

I didn't try this one,I don't know if I will. The idea of slapping this cold, wet thing on my face is just kinda gross to me.I might just give it to my daughter. Ick factor alone earns this one a B!

Ofra Cosmetics 3D Eye Shadow in Golden Sparkle
Let those pretty peepers do the talking with these multi-tonal pigment-packed wet dry shadows. Three different color pearls give them a 3D effect that everyone will be lusting after! Retail : $19.90 0.14oz FULL SIZE

I was super excited when I first saw this because who wouldn't be? HUGE eye shadow! It's a great color, but to my chagrin, when I opened it, it had leaked inside, like it had been tampered with or been opened already.Product all over the lid and inside the jar.

I need to contact the company about this....thanks for reminding myself! Anywooooo...the color is pretty as you can see from the inside of the lid. Its a tannish/brown with flecks of gold.VERY sparkly.

Grade for this because of the opened product.....D :-(

And the "Piece de resistance"

Demeter Roll On Perfume Oil
Take Some time to stop and smell the flowers...and the fruit with this delicate, floral fragrance. The subtle hints of fruit will have you hooked all year~ Retail $10.00 0.29 oz I think full size

This was my favorite thing in the box this month. It just smells so yummy.I wish the smell lingered a little longer, but ohhh I love it sooo much! To me it smells just like an apple blossom. It passed the all important hubby test-so its all good! THIS GETS AN A!

So as you can see, as a whole,BeautyBox5 is a great little item.I have never had an issue with any of thier products so I'm anxious to see how its handled .I'm confident that there will not be any issues though.

So,in review, for $12 I got almost 50.00 worth of goodies. Not bad eh?  Not all boxes are priced this low, for example, Glossybox is $21,BUT has higher end and full sized products.

Got any questions? Leave em in the comment box!!!

Thanks for reading!!!!

2011 was a big year for me. I turned the big  40. I have also given birth to six children. I have been told many many times that I dont look like I am in my 40's nor do I look like I've had six kids.I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I digress.
Fast Forward to 2012, and I discovered makeup.I mean REALLY discovered makeup. I always had mascara and eyeliner and some lipgloss.I would hit the Clinique counter when they had thier free stuff. That was the extent of my makeup use. Some sort of floodgate has opened.I found something I LOVED!  It made me happy, it made me FEEL BETTER! I started exploring skincare.I had never done that before! Now I have this ridiculous collection of makeup and skincare that I proudly use everyday and I love it and cant wait to share with you!
Ill be reviewing new things that I get, good or bad,so you can make informed decisions.

Im SO excited to do my first  "official" review/post! Stay tuned!!!
